Meet Mark DeSantis: A Love for Crystal Beach and a Heart for Giving Back

Around here, a beach getaway can turn into a whole new chapter. For our own Mark DeSantis, that chapter includes calling Crystal Beach home, helping people find their place on the coast, and giving back to the community.

We’re proud to see Mark featured in CrystalBeach.com for his work as president of Bolivar Peninsula Charities.

Finding His Place on Bolivar Peninsula

Mark and his wife, Jodi, discovered Crystal Beach after a friend suggested it as an alternative to their planned vacation destination. They fell for the coastal landscape, built a beach house, and eventually made it their permanent home.

Before long, Mark was volunteering at the Texas Crab Festival. That first step grew into a larger commitment to serving his neighbors.

Giving Back Beyond Festival Weekend

Bolivar Peninsula Charities supports the community throughout the year. The Texas Crab Festival helps fund that work, which includes student scholarships, trade and career education, and holiday support for local children.

Mark brings his corporate experience and passion for education to the organization’s fundraising and planning. His focus includes strengthening its long-term financial foundation so that support can continue for years to come.
