Your Peninsula Christmas season has a first stop this year — and it’s on the Hill.
On Thursday, December 3, High Island ISD hosts Christmas on the Hill, an evening built for exactly what makes this end of Bolivar special: your neighbors, your kids, and a small town that shows up for each other.
Your evening, start to finish:
- Cheer on the Cardinals first. The Beach Basketball Tournament runs that day — come support your Cardinals, then stay for the celebration.
- The Community Parade rolls at 5:30 PM. This year’s theme is “A Christmas Storybook” — entries bring a favorite Christmas book or story to life. If your family, business, or golf cart belongs in that parade, contact Tyra Crawford at 409-257-5277 ([email protected]) and claim your spot.
- Literacy Night follows at 6:30 PM in the High Island ISD cafeteria — storytime with Mrs. Claus, literacy games, letters to Santa, and hot chocolate. PK–12 students and their families are welcome.
It’s free, it’s local, and it’s the kind of night that reminds you why your Peninsula is home.
